Tess Daly has shared a rare snap during downtime with her husband Vernon Kay at their home after the BBC Radio 2 star was asked about his relationship with the Strictly Come Dancing host.
Fans will be aware that the celebrity couple tied the knot back in 2003 and now share two teenage daughters together, Phoebe and Amber.
Tess and Vernon often keep their relationship and family life out of the spotlight but do give little insights into their romance now and again and it was the latter who gave a glimpse into a recent date night.
The TV and radio presenter share a picture of him and his wife to Instagram and they could be seen beaming towards the camera as they sat side-by-side in a restaurant ready for dinner.
Bolton-born Vernon captioned the post, which also included pictures of their meal: “One of our first ever dates was @nobulondonportman it’s good to go back and enjoy the food again especially the BlackCod!!
“What a treat. @tessdaly…Time off work to unwind and enjoy.” Alongside the photo of the married couple was food the two tucked into. Actress Anna Friel commented “You both look radiant. Cos you are.”
The comments quickly came flooding in and one in particular caught Vernon’s eye as it read: “Do you ever look at Tess on a regular basis and think God I’m punching here lol.” In response, Vernon wrote: “every morning!!!” before adding a crying laughing emoji.
Others, however, jumped to his defence. @chris.ansary said: “They are equally as gorgeous and talented.” @donnamcox76 commented: “No cause Vernon is just as good looking as Tess. They are a lovely couple.” @joannedavis459 added: “They both seem to be getting younger looking in ever photo!”
Meanwhile, Tess has since taken to social media herself and shared a couple of snaps, which included showing Vernon relaxing in the garden during the recent sunny spell with one of their pet pooches.
Captioning the post, which included a fresh-faced selfie from the couple’s own home gym, the Stockport-born broadcaster wrote to her followers: “Feeling more alive in this beautiful sunshine. Now gearing up to shoot our next @naia_beach collection in a few weeks.”
And fans were soon responding. @deer.724669 said: “Beautiful lady. Lovely hubby and so sweet little dogs.” @janeyg16 commented: “Ahhhh lovely!” @ingharic wrote: “Amazing photos of the 4 of you. Thanks for sharing.” @patrickmurphy1187 added: “Gorgeous.”
